Memphis

Well, I had a business trip this week and got to see the home of the King (Elvis), Beale St., and the Mississippi river. From what folks told me, it's changed, but it seems to be a nice place. Boy do they know how to eat over there. We went to the Rendezvous Resturant and had their famous ribs. The joke of the trip was that one person kept talking about goint to Huey's and having their buger (I wasn't that impressed).

Oh, you wanted to know about the work we did? Well, we were staging equipment for our new core and WAN upgrade. Going to put a Cisco Catalyst 4506 at the core, some 3745 routers for the WAN implementation at the main office and some 2620 and 1750 routers at the branch offices. Add some Cisco 3550 switches to the floors and you've got a Cisco mouthful. This is a fairly big move for us as we were not a Cisco shop before, so we wanted to get some experience with the gear and get it pre-configured before we rolled it out. Should be fun to finally have (needed) Gigabit gear!
