Net Manager Network Managing, Engineering and Administration with an eye toward security. Best practices meets the real world! |
Saturday, November 08, 2003 Ok, we've entered the world of the bizarre. Here's the SlashDot article (w/links to GrokLaw and Computer Business Review) about how SCO's 8k filing with the SEC details a plan to pay users *not* to use Linux: SCO Will Pay You Not to Use Linux. The strange thing is that some folks are talking about the fact that the deepest discounts are for going to Windows not Unixware. This is sure to fan the flames of the conspiracy folks. Also, some folks have pointed out a couple of facts, one being this adds fodder to the RedHat and IBM counter suits, and that this may be illegal under the Clayton act. Could SCO be getting desperate??? posted by David | 11/08/2003 10:36:00 AM |
