I always wondered what all the hubub about the Penn State and Napster connection was. This article over at The Register has the scoop: Penn State's pigopolist pork runs deep. Basically, several of the leaders of Penn State are part of the RIAA, and they connected the students up to Napster. There's a rumor that the connection with Napster is a trial run and that Penn State got it for deep discounts. Sure does sound like some heavy-handed dealings to me.
