Thursday, October 09, 2003 Microsoft's at it again: Microsoft details new security plan. Another? security plan. This is almost like Stalin's 5 year plans (shoot the messenger). They are going to improve the patching, improve the security technology, and educate consumers. Isn't this the same drivel that they've been saying for over a year? How! are you going to improve the patching? How are you going to ensure that your patches actually patch the flaws (the last two major flaws took 2 seperate patches put out about a month apart to fix the flaws). Hmmm.. where to begin.. these isssues with Microsoft seem to be fundamental flaws about how things work (think outlook preview pane bugs that allow code to run w/o the user doing anything). That's the kind of thing that should be looked at. posted by David | 10/09/2003 05:20:00 PM |
