Here's a Security Focus column talking about the CCIA report and that it's conclusions are wrong: CCIA Report is Bad Medicine. Unfortunately, most of us in security can see where a monoculture is bad, even Jim Alchin of Microsoft sees this to be the case. The argument of the paper is that because of competition, security is increased and on that basis I have to agree.
