Here's a good story about how a small (10,000 user) ISP survived a direct hit from a F4 scale Tornado. They were able to get almost everything back working in just under 4 days. Here's the CIO/Computerworld story: Twisters, hurricanes, floods (oh my). There's some good points here about what worked and what didn't.
