Well, a day later and I have my answer as to why Ximian. In this article, with some other big news such as: Novell may nix NetWare development they note that Groupwise significantly overlaps with Ximian's Evoloution. Since Netware is finished as an OS, they can leverage both Evoloution and Groupwise on Linux. As many of us have noted for a while now Netware is esentially dead, this is the "official notice" so to speak.
