This looks like another interesting thing for you Firewall and IDS folks to take a look at. Mark Lovelace (aka Simple Nomad) is releasing a tool called NCovert that will allow you to hide the source (spoof) an attack. The cNet article is entitled: Hackers look to hide communications. I'll have to take a look at this to see exactly what he's doing....
