Tuesday, August 05, 2003 Slashdot has a link to a Yahoo business article in which some details of the "Linux licensing" from SCO can be found: SCO Wants $699 for Linux Systems. Most of the folks on Slashdot found this to be hilarious as SCO hasn't shown any evidence that there is a need for this license. Can you as a business conduct a protection racket and get away with it "legally" ?? UPDATE: Here's another cNet news article entitled: SCO raps Red Hat, sets license prices. McBride basically says that they will target end Linux users, because of the way that IBM and Red Hat has handled the lawsuit.
