Ran across this analysis of the power outage in the Northeast. I thought that it was strange that everyone was saying that there were no problems with the internet. This analysis by Renesys entitled Blackout Results in Widespread Network Outages shows a number of interesting things, from BGP messages to wholesale internet outages.
