Saturday, July 19, 2003 "Yeah baby, Yeah!!" -- Austin Powers SCO is at it again according to this InforWorld article, SCO readies new Linux licensing program. In the article, they are going to announce Monday that they will be licensing Linux customers so that they won't have to worry about any future litigation. The United States is truly amazing!! Only in this country would a company that holds no rights whatsoever to a product that is Open Source, and available to anyone (source included -- with a GPL license) try and sell them a license for using the product. As the article stated, if SCO gets even 1% of the Linux users they are winners because the amount of money could be enough to allow them to continue operating. This is almost a scam... almost :) posted by David | 7/19/2003 02:40:00 PM |
