There is a very compelling article over at Linux Journal entitled: Saving the Net. Read the whole thing and I believe that he's hit the nail on the head.

I've been one who while watching the whole copyright issue come to it's present state has been shaking his head in disbelief. Following SCO's lawsuit, has me headed toward shock and awe. How can a company basically extort money from an end user base that it has no control, no copyright, and no product?? Because they bought someone elses copyright and are trying to enforce that right on something else that doesn't belong to them??

Oh well, I'm sure that the courts will eventually (2005?) figure this out and resolve the issue. What should we be doing as consumers and as corporations? Follow IBM's lead: Ignore SCO.
