Tuesday, July 22, 2003 More on the SCO -vs- IBM lawsuit via this SlashDot article: How SCO Helped Linux Go Enterprise. There are serveral interesting links here, including how a Caldera employee worked on the Linux JFS (sending email from his caldera address), and other information about Caldera's contributions to AIX 5L. Sure seems odd here, a Caldera (future SCO) employee who was employed to work on (among other things) the Linux JFS, and then SCO sues IBM and refers to this work as things IBM "stole" from SCO. There's also a doc on the RCU info that uses words like: "Based upon original work by ..." (IBM Employee). Sure doesn't seem like SCO has a leg to stand on, but maybe a rope to hang themselves with. posted by David | 7/22/2003 12:20:00 PM |
