The Blackhat convention seems to be going strong. eWeek has several articles on it including: Black Hat: Joining Forces to Fight Hacking about the Microsoft led plan to disclose (or not) vulnerabilities in systems. There's also this article about: CERT to Ease Sharing regarding CERT's plan to have real-time data sharing and analysis regarding vulnerabilities. Both of these ideas have merit, but in the real world where the vulnerabilities are being published mere weeks after being disclosed, it seems both ideas are too little, to late.
