Thursday, June 12, 2003 Another day, another point made in the SCO -vs- IBM lawsuit: Did SCO open Unix source code?. Personally, the more I read about this issue, the more I believe that SCO is blowing smoke. It seems to me that SCO never went to IBM and said 'I believe that you copied these 80 [whatever] lines of code, could you rewrite them, or license them". It is clear to almost anyone that Linux has a significantly larger market than SCO, and that the 1 billion dollars is just plain BS for something like this, especially considering the AT&T -vs- U.C. Berkley (BSD) lawsuit showed that code was copied by both parties. Still one of the best shows in town though :-) posted by David | 6/12/2003 02:17:00 PM |
