Several folks on the incidents forum are talking about BIND (8.3) crashes that are suspiciously similar. Here's the log entry in question:
May 14 21:19:19 bilbo2 named[9491]: ns_resp.c:3946: ENSURE(cp <= eom_out) failed.
Someone did point out that one of the users saw an error message that wasn't from BIND, but from something else. Also, there may be issues with the version of BIND running (old vulnerable code??).
