I've been reading about the SCO -vs- IBM lawsuit. cNet News has a piece today about Microsoft purchasing a license from SCO for the IP value. I then ran across (via the SlashDot discussion of the above news) the OSI Position Paper on the SCO-vs.-IBM Complaint. This is really fascinating reading about the history of Unix as much as it is about the lawsuit.
Some of this sure seems like FUD to me, especially after reading the OSI Position Paper and specifically the discussion of the Novell -vs- UC Berkely (BSD code). This should be interesting to see how it resolves itself......
