Wednesday, April 23, 2003 Well, you knew it had to happen. Yesterday there was a new virus (mass mailing 'worm' actually) released that takes advantage of the SARS scare that's going on. This one is called Coronex. Symantec (and Mcafee) are rating this one low (1) on the scale, so it's not too likely you'll see it, but it's out there so beware. I don't like the term worm labeled to these, because they require action from the user (usually opening the file), where a true worm has the ability to spread on it's own.
